Language is a long rope,
intricately wound and knotted
around our bodies
from the moment we are born
until the day we die.
Why wouldn’t I use it,
pull it tight and twist it,
sew you into place with words,
use my voice to open you
and mark you mine.
intricately wound and knotted
around our bodies
from the moment we are born
until the day we die.
Why wouldn’t I use it,
pull it tight and twist it,
sew you into place with words,
use my voice to open you
and mark you mine.
